It's All About History

History is a word we use often to describe many things. People have personal histories, families have histories, countries, peoples, the world--all have a story, a history.

What is history to you? The battles, the cannon fire, the uniforms, the chariots, the wash of new people over a land, perhaps. Or perhaps in your mind history is the small people, the individual stories. Maybe it's what we see on the nightly news. Or perhaps it is a class you hated or loved.

For this prompt, write about history from any angle you choose. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

  4. You'd think I could AT LEAST get my own poem posted first! Oh well. After I wrote the prompt this poem just came to me. Not what I expected to write really, but thinking about it made me realize the source of my fascination with historical places.

  6. This was a fun prompt! Put sort of a personal spin on it, but I think it's something easy for writers like us to relate to...
