In honor the the upcoming holiday Halloween, my prompt this week is shadows.
You can go several directions with this one. Spooky or mysterious things might be hidden in the shadows. Shadows might also be a relief if you do not want to be in the spotlight or on a hot sunny day. And don't forget that shadow that follows you around. You may even have been one of these shadows or hidden in them for some reason.
There are shadows in all sorts of places, in nature, in buildings old and new, night shadows, day shadows.
Of course there are also figurative or metaphorical shadows.
And don't forget that shadow can be a verb. And there is the modifying from shadowy.
Let's see imaginative descriptions of shadows, or focus on the feelings shadows can evoke. Humor is always welcome as well.
