Here we are at the beginning of another new year and I think the launch of another Mayan age, since the world did not end last month as some people had predicted.
Instead of thinking about New Years resolutions--which I have a lot of trouble with--lets think about the year gone by.
For your poem this week write about something you will leave behind in the new year, something you like leaving behind or something that you are sad to see go.
This can be wishful thinking--something you wish to leave behind--or something you will actually leave in the old year. So many things can fit into this category--things, actions, feelings, places. I look forward to what you will choose.
Put your new poem on your blog and then link it below using Mr. Linky.

I can't believe I'm first, thanks for a great prompt Peggy, it's been cathartic.

ReplyDeleteWow you are so fast at writing and posting here! Since I am on the west coast of the US some get a few hours start on me--and then I am not much of a morning person and am slow to start even in my own time zone. LOL I am even still working on my own poem for my own prompt! Blessings in the new year to you all!
ReplyDeletei'm still working on mine, Peggy ~ love the prompt. wish i could have left a few {or more} pounds back in 2012. {smile}

ReplyDeleteGlad to see you all here and posting! Love to see where people take a prompt. Many of you also have quite beautifully designed blogs that I enjoy checking out. I have not gotten to redesigning mine for the new year though it is on my list of things I want to do. You all inspire me!
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy! This was a struggle for me, funny how some things flow and some don't glad where I finally ended up :-)
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how much we can leave behind but I do believe we can find new ways of being with who and what we are.
ReplyDeleteI'm not one to make New Year's resolutions, but I surely liked this prompt!
